Briefed to "clarify, energise, and illuminate" this speech from the economist, Kate Raworth.
Ambitious Cities is an animation showcasing how one person's inspiration and actions can motivate and energise others to work towards the goal of creating a better city, society, and planet.
The animation is intended to be a proposed future based off of Professor Kate Raworth's 'Doughnut' economics model. Offering an alternative to current mainstream economics where endless expansion and financial growth take priority, the doughnut provides a perspective for meeting the needs of all people without overexploiting the planet's life-giving systems.
It was important to encourage audiences to focus on solutions rather than on the negatives of present day societies.
The glow represents empowerment. A vision to use your energy to shape the future you want to see, originating from the character's inspiration to better their city with nature.

Its transferable essence reflects our power to inspire others to take an active role in creating a better future.

To sync the visuals with the rhythm of Raworth’s questions, I timed each shot to the audio beats.
I designed the street perspective shots in Blender to use as illustration references.
